Sustain community doula care where it’s needed most.
Because every birth deserves to be beloved.
For years, the BEE Collective has walked beside birthing families across the Lowcountry — offering free, culturally-rooted doula and perinatal support through our Community Health Worker (CHW) team. Together, our small but mighty staff of three Perinatal CHWs has served more than 60 families each year, ensuring safe births, stronger starts, and thriving families in communities that are too often overlooked.
Recently, we received devastating news: statewide funding cuts eliminated support for programs like ours serving rural and under-resourced families.
This loss wasn’t because we failed to meet outcomes — in fact, we exceeded them.
Over 95% of our clients delivered safely at term, with reduced stress and increased confidence. But the programs that made this work possible were defunded.
Now, the families we serve still need us — and we’re determined to show up.
That’s why we’re launching The Beloved Birth Fund — to sustain our community doulas and perinatal safe spot for the year ahead.
Your gift helps us:
🌼 Provide free doula care to 30 birthing families this year
🌼 Keep one full-time community-based doula on staff
🌼 Offer healing circles, emergency supplies, and postpartum support
🌼 Continue serving families facing housing, food, and transportation insecurity
When you give to The Beloved Birth Fund, you’re not just funding a program —
you’re holding the village that holds our mothers, babies, and communities.
